BSc, MSc Financial Mathematics, PhD Researcher.
I am an academic by profession, as a lecturer in Mathematics.
Currently, I work as a lecturer in mathematics, and my teaching expertise is pure mathematics, discrete mathematics, and engineering mathematics. I have been teaching mathematics for A-level, Foundation, and university first-year students for more than 12 years. I have produced students who have excelled in mathematics and achieved world prizes in different mathematics units.
I have obtained a BSc in the field of Mathematics and an MSc in Financial Mathematics. I am currently a PhD student in the field of Mathematics.
Continuing my journey in academia, I have pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Education to learn educational psychology, educational methodologies etc. I also conducted mini research on erroneous transactions of students at mathematics assessments as part of the Postgraduate Diploma in Education.
Medical Student.
I am Taniya Weerasekera, a medical student and an experienced enthusiast in teaching. Up to date, I have experience in online Education, delivering the British curriculum for GCSE and A-Levels. I also have experience working in several organisations such as Youth Investors, Vietnam, Fast English, Japan, Apex ed, Canada, to name a few.
I am passionate about educating learners irrespective of their ability. I am motivated and will ensure to motivate my students to reach their goals in a student-centric teaching environment. My teaching style is to deliver lessons to learners in a fun, interactive and friendly ambience such that students can grasp the concepts and then be able to apply them where and when needed successfully.
BA English, Psychology & Sociology.
I am an experienced and results-oriented Edexcel IGCSE and IAL English Language and Literature Teacher with more than 12 years of experience educating KS3, KS4 and KS5 school students. I am at the PGD Level ranked as the 1st amongst 22 students, with an interim GPA of 3.58. I am a UNESCO certified Digital Teacher, and I am currently reading for my Masters in Teaching Literature.
My objective as a teacher is to create a child to establish a learner-centric environment and nurture a critical thinking environment in the classroom. I focus on skill-based teaching in which I strive to improve my learners’ receptive and productive skills; by doing so, I have been able to encourage my learners to think critically and perceptively, write analytically with an authentic voice, express ideas creatively and at the same time enjoy learning English Language and Literature. I also believe that every student can acquire skills. As a teacher, it is my responsibility to create and deliver lessons that provide an opportunity to learners with different capacities and skill levels.
One of my strengths is my ability to think beyond the box. I am creative, and I hone my critical thinking skills as I believe that when creativity meets with critical thinking, remarkable concepts and designs come to life. I work consciously to sharpen my analytical skill, which is imperative for a literate. As a short fiction writer, I have, thus far, been successful in creating vivid imagery, immersing the reader into the story, making the experience cathartic. Moreover, I have directed many plays in which I have focused on creative storytelling and currently, I have published two short stories in Fem Asia Online Magazine.
BSc, MBA Business Management.
I pursued my MBA and bachelor’s degree in Business Management, specialising in Finance.
I was privileged to work as the Programme Manager/ Head cum Lecturer – School of Management at BCAS Campus. My duties as a lecturer include assignment preparation and moderation, assignment marking, conducting assignment and marking related workshops, attending external verification sessions, preparing lecture materials and tutorials, liaised with local and foreign authorities, to name a few. Further, I held the MBA Coordinator position for Solent Global MBA and Programme Lead position for SQA HND in the Business programme.
I have delivered lectures up to master’s for a period beyond six years offered by Solent University – Southampton, Middlesex University London, University of West London, Northwood University, University of Greenwich, University of Northampton, Cardiff Metropolitan University & Edith Cowan College, Pearson and SQA.
My achievements include becoming a scholarship winner to pursue the Investment Analyst training programme offered by Moody’s Analytics, being selected as a Top 10 Best presenter concerning the Dissertation in Finance, performing duties as a Reviewer, Session Chair and Committee Member of International Conference on Multidisciplinary Research (ICMR) 2020 etc.
BSc Mathematics & Computer Science.
I have been a dedicated teacher with a good rapport with students for the past 20 years. I produced world prizes and outstanding grades for GCSE and A-Level students. I hold a BSc in Mathematics and Computer Science.
It is always a pleasure to work with the future generation as we can learn and discover new knowledge in doing so. To sum it up, I must say that my profile will never end here as I am a firm believer in lifelong Education.

I count nearly two decades in the Education Sector as a teacher and an education administrator. I have taught Mathematics, Science and Chemistry at the primary and secondary levels.
I have graduated with a Bachelor of Sciences with Chemistry Honours and went on to do a Postgraduate Diploma in Food Sciences and Masters in Analytical Chemistry. Thereafter I received my Postgraduate Diploma in Education. After completing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of West London, I am now studying for my PhD in Education Administration.
Apart from my work at school, I am part of many charity organisations that promote girls’ Education.

I’m an enthusiastic teacher of Business Studies with expertise in training students for the GCSE and A-Level examinations. I am organized, patient and determined to see students succeed
I possess a Masters degree in Business Studies from the University of Colombo, and am currently reading for a Masters in Education Studies at the University of Roehampton. In addition, I’m a Passed Finalist of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA UK). I have been teaching students aged 13-18, Business Studies, for the past 8 years. Over the years, I have produced a 100% pass rate both at GCSE and A-level. Many of my students have improved from a grade C to A/A* in Business Studies at GSCE and A Levels.
I have a full understanding of the syllabus taught from exam boards, specifically Edexcel & Cambridge. I can efficiently teach in accordance with exam guidelines and techniques that help students to excel and reach their maximum potential.
